  1. This multimedia CD-ROM has the following System requirements:

  3. -Windows:Intel Pentium processor
  4. -Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT 4.0 
  5. with Service Pack 6, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2, Windows XP Professional or 
  6. Home Edition, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
  7. -128MB of RAM 60MB of available hard-disk space
  8. -Internet Explorer 5.01, 5.5, 6.0, or 6.1
  9. -CD-ROM drive capable of reading CD-R media
  10.  
  11. SOFTWARE:
  12. -Adobe Reader 6.0 or later
  13. -QuickTime 6.5 or later
  14. If you do not have this software, the installation program is included for Acrobat 
  15. Reader 6.0, QuickTime  must be downloaded from apple.com.
  16. If you cannot install this version of Reader due to company policy or any other 
  17. reason, and want to use an older version of Reader that is already installed on 
  18. your machine, you may do so but some features will be disabled. The index created 
  19. for the search function will not work. Acrobat will prompt an error dialog box 
  20. stating the index associated with document cannot be found. You will still be able 
  21. to access the audio and speaker materials (where provided). There are also other 
  22. features that may not work unless you use Reader 6.0 or later.

  24. GETTING STARTED...
  25. The disc should automatically launch with instructions on the installation of the 
  26. required software, if you already have the required software you can click the 
  27. continue button. If you need to install the software, click the "install" links 
  28. and follow the installation instructions when prompted. Please restart your 
  29. computer after installing new software. This will ensure that everything functions 
  30. properly.

  32. If the CD-ROM does not launch automatically... 
  33. Under "My Computer" double click on the CD-ROM drive containing the disc. If it 
  34. still does not launch, double click on "shellexe.exe". At the Installations stage, 
  35. you will be given the option of installing the required programs.

  37. You may also find the Reader installer by doing the following:
  38.  
  39. 1. Right Click on the CD-ROM Icon and select Explore
  40. 2. Open the "reader" folder
  41. 3. Double Click on the AdbeRdr708.exe Icon
  42. 4. Follow on screen instructions until installation is complete
  43.

  45. If you need to install QuickTime 6, do the following:
  46.  
  47. 1. go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
  48. 2. download the free player
  49. 3. follow installation instructions:
  50. 4. Click "Next" or "Agree" during the installation process unless you need to 
  51. modify the default installation directory. QuickTime will then install the 
  52. necessary files and create a group in your Programs section of your Start Menu.
  53. 5. Immediately following the installation of the files and creating the shortcuts 
  54. program group, the QuickTime Setup Assistant will open in a window on top of the 
  55. just completed installation. Click "Next", then "Next" again unless you are an 
  56. advanced user who needs to modify some of the MIME settings. We ask you not change 
  57. these unless you feel confident in doing so.
  58. 6. Note: Immediately after clicking "Next" on the page asking if you want to 
  59. modify your MIME settings, you will be presented with a window about assigning 
  60. File Types to the QuickTime application. If QuickTime is not associated with 
  61. Macintosh file types (*.mov), the links to the audio will not work. The other 
  62. associations further integrate the QuickTime application open picture types.

  65. Accessing raw MP3 files:
  66.  
  67. You may access the raw MP3 files on this CD-ROM if you wish to burn a session to 
  68. an audio CD for using on a stereo. You must have a CD burner. Right click on the 
  69. CD-ROM icon (My Computer) and select explore. Find the folder named "audio" and 
  70. open it. Copy the file you wish to burn to your desktop (or somewhere on your 
  71. computer where you can find it later). The audio files are named according to the 
  72. session number that corresponds the to the session number in this CD-ROM or the 
  73. order form. Once you have copied the MP3 to your computer, follow the instructions 
  74. for burning audio files that accompanies your CD burning software. Remember that 
  75. one audio CD can hold up to 80 minutes of audio. The sessions recorded are an 
  76. average of 60 minutes.
